Boost your child’s potential for success

Parents increasingly are seeking ways to improve their children’s Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) skills to prepare them for exceptional success in school, career and life. At KTEC we do just that – helping young minds build these critical skills and flourish in a technology-driven global economy.

In KTEC courses your child will:

  • Learn STEM skills through project-based, real-world situations.
  • Practice critical thinking and problem solving, communication, collaboration, and creativity and innovation.
  • Engage in technology through an exploration of Robotics, Movie Making and Video Game Creation.
  • Realize that technology is fun and start on a path to inspired future learning.

Our approach

Our exceptional curriculum is designed around the STEM model and 21st Century Skills and creates engaging, valuable and fun enrichment courses. Participation in KTEC puts your child on the path to success in our technology-driven world.

  • We provide hands-on active learning experiences.
  • Students have the opportunity to collaborate in small groups.
  • Our classes are all project-based and we allow time for exploration.
  • We employ experienced staff, who relate well to students and create a fun atmosphere.
  • We teach rather than relying on computer-based tutorials.

Students are all smiles

The immediate and long-term value far outweighs the investment. Meanwhile, the students have so much fun, they don’t even realize they are learning! Make us your class of choice, and watch your kids build a life-long love of technology and journey to success.

STEM and ISTE: Why They're Important to a Child

STEM and ISTE Exposure to Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) and the International Society for Technology Education (ISTE) standards will play a vital role in a child’s journey to career and life success. The Bits, Bytes & Bots curriculum is aligned with these models.

STEM’s multiple-pathways-to-success approach empowers every student to achieve technology literacy. STEM students:

  • Learn in collaborative groups with the challenge of solving real and relevant problems that cross all content areas.
  • Develop a skills set that allows them to apply and transfer knowledge to a wide range of problems and projects.
  • Gain strong STEM competence and creative problem solving required for the jobs of the future.

ISTE’s latest standards identify several higher-order thinking skills and digital citizenship as critical for students to learn effectively and live productively for a lifetime. These include the ability to:

  • Demonstrate creativity and innovation
  • Communicate and collaborate
  • Conduct research and use information
  • Think critically, solve problems, and make decisions
  • Use technology effectively and productively
