Mix creativity, imagination and video editing for amazing movie making. From Stop-Motion movies with LEGO® mini-men, Animated Movies to MultiMedia with Scratch, our movie making courses offer a great experience depending on your childs' age and interest. Kids work together, focusing on communication and teamwork, to create their own movie. No experience is necessary and kids get a DVD of their movie creation.
- Stop Motion Movie Bits: With LEGO® Ages 8-12
- Create a stop motion animated movie using LEGO® mini-men, sets and characters. Learn how to develop a storyboard, then film and edit the movie using digital cameras, Stop Motion Pro animation software, and video editing software. Create a multi-scene masterpiece complete with transitions, titles, credits, sound effects and narration. Creativity and imagination collide with technology, writing and teamwork to create a fun, unique class experience. No experience is necessary and students can take this class as many times as they wish.
- Animated Movies Ages 12-16
- Bring imagination and learn how to create animated movies. Draw characters and objects and learn how to use timelines, 'bones' and layers to animate characters and scenes. Develop a storyboard, plot the movie and learn how to add text and sounds to the animation. Students will learn how to integrate creativity, artistry, writing, problem solving and computer skills to generate a short anime movie. Student must have graduated 5th grade to take this class.
- Multi-Media Mania with Scratch Ages 10-16
- Bring imagination and learn how to create animated movies and multimedia presentations using the award winning Scratch software and movie making software. Draw characters and objects and learn how to use timelines, 'bones' and layers to animate characters and scenes. Develop a storyboard, plot the movie and learn how to add text and sounds to the animation. Students will learn how to integrate creativity, artistry, writing, problem solving and computer skills to generate a short anime movie. Student must have graduated 5th grade to take this class. Students are also introduced to the award winning multimedia software, Scratch. Scratch is a programming language that makes it easy to create your own interactive stories, animations, games, music, and art -- and share your creations on the web.
- As young people create and share Scratch projects, they learn important mathematical and computational ideas, while also learning to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively.
